Over the last year, 34.2 thousand km of oil trunk pipelines (OTP) were diagnosed. Most of the work was carried out at the OTPs of Transneft East (8.9 thousand km), Transneft Siberia (4.6 thousand km) and Transneft Volga Region (3.5 thousand km).
Over 40 employees of the Enterprise took part in the campaign. Together they collected art supplies and raised funds to purchase two TV sets for the rooms where elderly people with reduced mobility were staying.
The developed information system will allow to maintain a unified database of OTP (PPTP) facilities and PS, providing quick access to the results of previously conducted diagnostics and the possibility to automate the process of agreeing technical specifications for conducting external diagnostics, as well as to exchange information with external contracting entities and to monitor the timing of their diagnostics.
The guests were shown how key business units of Transneft Diascan operate, among them the diagnostics shop, the polyurethane production shop and the test facility. In-line inspection tools developed by the Company’s designers aroused particular interest of the visitors.
The upgrading operations took place from April 2016 to November 2018. The defectoscope underwent acceptance testing at Transneft Diascan’s test ground as well as within a section of an operating oil pipeline.
Transneft presented a model of a combined magnetic and ultrasonic defectoscope as part of its exposition.
The laboratory’s performance of all the procedures provided for by the quality manual, along with the efficiency of the existing quality system, including the results of the laboratory’s participation in interlaboratory comparative tests, were examined during the inspection.
The instrument was engineered by the Company’s designers and intended for inline inspection of oil and petroleum products pipelines with the diameter of 20".
Transneft presented a model of a combined magnetic and ultrasonic defectoscope at its exhibition booth. This pipeline inspection gadget (PIG) had been developed by Transneft Diascan design engineers and is unparalleled in the world today.
The schoolchildren visited several operating facilities, including a diagnostic shop, a test ground, a test laboratory, a polyurethane production shop and the information processing section.
