Date of publication: 20 April 2018 Print

Transneft Diascan has taken part in the 18th international exhibition for equipment and technologies for the oil and gas industries, Neftegaz 2018. The event was held from 16 to 19 April at the Moscow Expocentre as part of the National Oil and Gas Forum.

Transneft Diascan showed self-developed in-line inspection devices as part of the exposition at Transneft’s corporate booth. In particular, a mock-up model of a combined magnetic and ultrasonic defectoscope was presented. This is the flagship device among diagnostic tools that are developed and manufactured by the Company. Design engineers from Transneft Diascan created a unique device that runs through the pipeline and allows you to detect defects of various types (longitudinal cracks, defects of longitudinal and transverse welded joints, pitting corrosion, delamination and metal loss as well as scratch marks). This device is more effective than the conventional ones that do not use such combined technology.
