Transneft Diascan has conducted over 274 inspections of oil and petroleum products storage tanks in H1 2021. The works were performed as part of Transneft’s annual integrated programme of diagnostic examination of pipelines and PS (oil pumping stations) facilities.
During the reporting period, full technical diagnostics with decommissioning of 48 tanks was performed; partial technical diagnostics without decommissioning was performed at 49 tanks.
More than 170 additional inspections, including monitoring of the technical condition of vertical steel tanks and aluminum dome-shaped roofs, monitoring of the condition of the outer and inner anti-corrosion coating were performed. Additional flaw-detection inspection (X-ray) of welded seams, laser scanning and foundations inspection were carried out. The technical condition of the tank’s structures and elements was also investigated: visual and instrumental testing, ultrasonic testing, acoustic emission testing, magnetic particle inspection, industrial radiography, as well as three-dimensional laser scanning were carried out.
Most of the work was carried out at the facilities of Transneft Volga Region, Transneft Upper Volga and Transneft Siberia.
Moreover, more than 1.2 thousand units of additional equipment used at oil and petroleum products trunk pipelines have been inspected by Transneft Diascan since the beginning of 2021. More than 50 km of process pipelines were inspected, full technical diagnostics was performed at 3 km of oil trunk pipelines and PSs.
Diagnostics of more than 600 mechanical and process equipment units was carried out, 27 automation and pipeline telemetry systems were inspected.
