Employees of Transneft Diascan Organise New Year Volunteer Campaign

Date of publication: 18 December 2019

On the eve of the New Year, Transneft Diascan’s employees together with their children have visited the wards of the Lukhovitsky social rehabilitation centre for minors (Lukhovitsy, Moscow Region) and organised a New Year master class.

For the creative lesson, the volunteers brought wooden workpieces in the form of the New Year symbol — mice, snowflakes, snowmen, snow maidens and other figures, which they purchased in advance with the funds raised. Also, the volunteers also prepared a personal wooden ball for each child. During the master class, the workpieces were painted in bright New Year decorations with paints and brushes. At the end of the event, the children decorated a tree with handmade toys and received sweet gifts.

The Lukhovitsky social rehabilitation centre for minors is aimed at preventing social orphanhood, as well as for social rehabilitation of minors in difficult life situations, including orphans and children without parental care. Currently, the institution is home to 25 children aged from 3 to 14 years.

The volunteer campaign was organised as part of the corporate volunteer movement of Transneft and its subsidiaries.
