Representatives of Croatian Oil Transportation Company Janaf Visit Transneft Diascan

Transneft Diascan has held a business meeting with representatives of the Janaf pipeline operator (Croatia). The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the throughput capacity of the Russian company and discuss the prospects of cooperation in the implementation of projects for in-line inspection in Croatia. The delegation of the Croatian company was headed by Vlado Zorić, Director for Pipeline Operation Safety and Security. Transneft Diascan was represented by First Deputy Director General and Chief Engineer Viktor Babenko. The meeting was also attended by the deputy directors of the Foreign Economic Relations Department of Transneft Denis Serdyukov and Sergey Kazantsev.

The guests visited a diagnostic workshop, where in-line inspection tools are developed and assembled. The representatives of Janaf saw the main types of clean-up gadgets, geometry and inspection tools produced by Transneft Diascan. At the assembly site for electronic components at the assembly workshop, Croatian specialists saw the process of manufacturing PCBs for the gadgets. The introductory tour included a test ground where new inspection tools are tested and calibrated after repairs; and a test laboratory, where the strength and durability of a pipe is checked.

The representatives of the Croatian company also visited the data processing centre, where specialists of Transneft Diascan interpret the data obtained during the diagnostics and compile analytical reports on the technical condition of the diagnosed pipelines.

The JANAF pipeline network with a length of more than 600 km provides oil transportation from the port and terminal of Omišalj on the island of Krk in Croatia to local and foreign oil refineries in Eastern and Central Europe. The design capacity is 34 MTPA.
