Transneft Diascan has summed up the results of the 2nd stage of the 1st round of the 3rd International Transneft Youth Science and Technology Conference. 20 young specialists of the Company under the age of 30 years participated in the contest.
The contest committee, which was headed by Viktor Babenko, Chief Engineer of Transneft Diascan, analysed the participants’ research to practice projects and identified the winners according to their speeches. The winner of the 2nd round was Maxim Yudin, an engineer of the PIG Development Section with the Using 24-Bit Diagnostic Information Format in Advanced Ultrasonic Measuring Systems for In-line Inspection Tools report. By the committee’s decision, second place went to Yelizaveta Pankina, an engineer of automated diagnostic data interpretation systems development, for her Automation of the Procedure of Marking the Signs of Repair Structures project. Third place was taken by Sergey Kochetkov, an engineer of the information processing section, with the Method for Simultaneous Processing of Diagnostic Data Obtained by Running Different Types of In-line Inspection Tools report. As the contest committee noted, all three ideas are of practical value and are planned to be implemented after additional development.
The winner from Transneft Diascan will present his work in the 2nd round of Transneft’s Science and Technology Conference together with young specialists and authors of the most promising developments of Transneft, which will be held in 2020.
Transneft’s Science and Technology Conference is held annually in order to attract a wide range of young people to scientific and technical work, to develop and implement measures, new equipment and technologies that contribute to the innovative development of the oil and petroleum products pipeline system, the development of creative initiative and professional skills among young people.
