Transneft Diascan has taken part in the 2019 Pipeline Technology Conference, which was held from 19 to 21 March in Berlin (Germany).
At Transneft’s exhibition booth, Transneft Diascan presented a model of a combined in-line magnetic and ultrasonic inspection tool of proprietary design and production. This is the flagship product among in-line inspection tools. The Russian Company was one of the world’s pioneers in applying the combined inspection technology, joining both ultrasonic and magnetic defect detection methods in one device. Consequently, the two methods can be applied simultaneously and with an increased efficiency when it comes to detection of such hazardous defects as combined defects (a dent and a scratch mark, a dent and a crack, lamination and corrosion loss of metal, etc).
In addition, Aleksey Khutoretsky, Deputy Head of Foreign Sales, Foreign Economic Projects Diractorate, Transneft Diascan, took part in the conference and made a presentation titled ‘A pipeline operator and an integrated contractor for ILI. A new insight into the issues of pipeline integrity and methods for in-line inspection of highly reliable pipeline transportation systems’.
Pipeline Technology Conference is an annual exhibition and conference, which traditionally presents state-of-the technologies and the latest developments in the pipeline industry.
