Transneft Diascan Sums up 1st Stage of 1st Round of Youth Science and Technology Conference

The results of the 1st stage of the 1st round of the III International Transneft Youth Science and Technology Conference have been summed up at Transneft Diascan. 4 young specialists of the Company under the age of 30 years participated in the contest.

The contest committee, which was headed by Sergey Zubin, Chief Engineer of Transneft Diascan, analysed and evaluated the participants’ reserach to practice projects and identified the two best reports. Maksim Chernyshov, an engineer, won in the Design, Operation, Construction and Revamping of Oil Trunk Pipelines section, with the report “Investigation of the Possibility of Improving the Characteristics of Tracking Device System”. Maksim Yudin, an engineer, took first place in the Automated Plant Control Systems; Communications section with his report, “Using the 24-bit Format of Diagnostic Information in Promising Ultrasonic Measuring Systems for in-Line Inspection Tools”.

The winners will present their reports at the 2nd stage of the 1st round, during which the finalist will be identified, who will take part in the next round of the Transneft research to practice conference together with the authors of the most promising developments from other Transneft subsidiaries.

The International Youth Science and Technology Conference is held by Transneft annually to support creative initiative in young professionals, promote research and technology potential of the Company and creation of innovative technological solutions for oil transportation.
