Transneft Diascan has commissioned a multichannel pipeline calibration system developed and manufactured by Transneft Diascan.
The 12-KMK.00-00.000 calibration system allows to calibrate pipelines with the diameters of 325 mm (12 "), 355.6 mm (14" API) and 377 mm (14" GOST). The device helps determine flow area in pipelines of 0.6 – 0.85 Dn. It has 18 measuring levers allowing to measure defects’ angular position with accuracy up to ±20°.
In addition, the calibration system has a strapdown inertial navigation system, which allows to measure bend radius and angles for pipelines ranging from 1.5 DN to 10 DN, with a measurement accuracy of ± 15% and ± 3°, respectively.
The calibration complex was manufactured from January 2017 to December 2018. It is planned to commission a similar device of 16/20" standard size in the nearest future.
Transneft Diascan is the largest Russian supplier providing services of technical diagnostics for pipelines with a diameter of 159 to 1,220 mm (6” – 48”). The works are carried out using diagnostic devices manufactured by Transneft Diascan, which include geometry tools, ultrasonic, magnetic, combined magnetic and combined magnetic and ultrasonic inspection tools, ultrasonic devices for multiangle pipe wall examination and inspection tools for detection of defects in pipelines’ insulation coating. Currently, there are 89 modern in-line inspection tools in the fleet of Transneft Diascan. All of them allow to assess the technical condition of pipeline transportation facilities with high accuracy and ensure environmental safety of hydrocarbon transportation.
