Date of publication: 17 August 2018 Print

Transneft Diascan has completed the first audit of its energy management system (EnMS) for compliance with the ISO 50001:2011 international standard. The first external certification audit of the EnMS confirmed the effectiveness of the processes in accordance with the requirements of the international standard. The Company will receive a certificate for a period of three years followed by annual confirmation audits.

The ISO 50001:2011 certificate is an indication that the Company can manufacture products and render services with the minimum risk for the environment, while ensuring maximum energy efficiency and power safety. Now that the EnMS has been introduced, Transneft Diascan is able to analyse and report on all processes related to energy consumption and then use the results of the analysis to reduce energy wastage and improve energy efficiency of all operational activities.

Transneft announced 2018 the Year of Energy Saving. The implementation of the EnMS and its certification are an integral part of the set of energy saving and energy efficiency measures within the themed year.
