Transneft Diascan and Sonatrach discuss in-line inspection projects

Transneft Diascan has hosted a meeting with representatives of Sonatrach (the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria) at the Company’s production facility in Lukhovitsy (Moscow Region). Oulhadj Abdelkader, Acting Pipeline Transportation Facility Maintenance Director, Abderzak Mekhmoukh, Pipeline Recovery and Servicing Section Director and Karima Adjliani, Pipeline Transportataion Legal Director, represented the Algerian company.

The meeting participants discussed implementation of specific in-line inspection (ILI) projects by Transneft Diascan’s professionals at the Algerian company’s facilities and issues of composite collar repair of pipelines running through Algeria. The guests were shown a composite materials production shop, where they were made familiar with composite collar repair principles and all the stages of repair materials kits manufacturing.

The meeting took place within the scope of the Memorandum of Cooperation signed by Transneft and Sonatrach National Company for Exploration, Production, Transportation, Processing and Sale of Hydrocarbons (Algeria) in October 2017 during Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev’s visit to Algeria.
