Transneft Diascan Takes Part in the First Meeting of the Joint Transneft and Algerian Sonatrach Work Group

The first meeting of the joint work group of Transneft and Sonatrach TRC, the largest Algerian pipeline operator, took place in Algiers. The meeting participants discussed the possibility of implementing joint projects in the territory of Algeria, including the ones that involve Transneft Diascan. Preliminary agreements were reached regarding in-line inspection projects, lightening protection of the tank farm, and composite collar repair. 

In October 2017, the Memorandum of Cooperation was signed by Transneft and Sonatrach (Algeria), a national company dealing with exploration, production, transportation, refining and sale of hydrocarbons. The document was signed by Vice President of Transneft Mikhail Margelov and Director General of Sonatrach Abdelmoumen Uold Kaddour. The signing ceremony took place during the visit of Russian Prime-Minister Dmitry Medvedev to Algeria.

Transneft Diascan is the largest Russian provider of in-line inspection services for oil pipelines, petroleum products pipelines and tanks. By now the Company has completed in-line inspection projects in 14 countries.
