Diascan diagnosed 4 thousand km of pipelines for external customers

Within the first semester of 2017 Transneft Diascan diagnosed 4 thousand km of pipelines at the facilities not included into Transneft system. The works were conducted both for Russian companies and foreign customers.

The enterprise’s specialists performed diagnostics of 1,778.6 km of pipelines in Russia. The works were conducted using in-line inspection tools produced by Transneft Diascan: multichannel geometry tool, magnetic defectoscope (MFL) and ultrasonic defectoscope (WM).

Abroad the basic part of in-line inspection works was conducted in Iran, where 1,342 km of pipelines were inspected using multichannel geometry tools and magnetic defectoscopes MFL and TFI.

Besides, Transneft Diascan performed in-line inspection works in Brazil, China and Oman.

Transneft Diascan is the largest Russian pipelines technical inspection services provider, it diagnoses oil and petroleum products pipelines with the diameter from 6” to 48” using own-produced pipeline inspection gadgets (PIGs). Average annual amount of works is equal to about 60 thousand km of pipelines. Inspection is conducted using multichannel geometry tools equipped with a navigation module, ultrasonic defectoscopes WM and CD, magnetic defectoscopes MFL and TFI, combined magnetic defectoscopes and combined magnetic ultrasonic defectoscopes, as well as defectoscopes for detecting randomly oriented defects. According to their technical parameters, several PIGs produced by Transneft Diascan are unique and unrivaled throughout the world.
