The chemical laboratory of Transneft Diascan, JSC obtained international accreditation

The chemical laboratory of Transneft Diascan, JSC succeeded in passing through international accreditation. The procedure was held by experts of AAC “Analitica” recognized by international accreditation organizations: ILAC (International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation) and APLAC (Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation).

The accreditation procedure included examination of organizational and regulatory documents, meeting with GOST (state standard) requirements and experimental tasks in the sphere of analysis of natural and sewage water, raw and auxiliary materials for manufacture of polyurethane products, anticorrosion materials and materials for composite and sleeve fitting repair of pipelines. According to the examination results the chemical laboratory succeeded in passing through international accreditation and obtained a certificate of expert evaluation and a certificate of accreditation within the system of ILAC and APLAC for five years.

The chemical laboratory of Transneft Diascan, JSC was established in 2000 on the basis of the workshop manufacturing polyurethane products (PPMS). At that moment manufacture was subject to transition to domestic raw materials and strict incoming inspection was needed in respect of all components of raw materials for MDI (methylene diphenyl diisocyanate) and TDI (toluene diisocyanate) polyurethane systems as of domestic polyurethane raw materials have a large range of quantitative characteristics different from that of similar materials manufactured abroad. This fact predetermined establishment by Transneft Diascan, JSC of its own chemical laboratory.

The chemical laboratory of Transneft Diascan, JSC carries out from 3 to 3.5 thousand tests a year, takes part in annual interlaboratory comparison tests and proves to be competent in testing by obtaining the respective certificates.
