At the exhibition, Transneft Diascan presented a mockup model of an in-line inspection device of its own design and production—a combined magnetic in-line inspection tool with axial and circumferential magnetisation (MFL + TFI).
The main item on the agenda of the visit was a meeting where the parties discussed the prospects for cooperation within joint projects in the field of in-line inspection in Brazil.
At Transneft’s exhibition booth, Transneft Diascan presented a model of a combined in-line magnetic and ultrasonic inspection tool of proprietary design and production. This is the flagship product among in-line inspection tools.
The device project has 24 measuring levers allowing to measure defects’ angular position with the accuracy of up to ±15°.
At the exhibition stand, the Company presented mockup models of in-line inspection tools of its own design and production: the WM ultrasonic inspection tool and the combined magnetic in-line inspection tool with axial and circumferential magnetisation (MFL + TFI).
The exclusive right to the invention, after the legalisation is finished, will be valid in member states of the Eurasian Patent Convention: the Republic of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.
Last year, the Сompany's specialists conducted in-line inspection in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Slovakia, Bahrain, Brazil, Malaysia and Oman.
The contest committee, which was headed by Sergey Zubin, Chief Engineer of Transneft Diascan, analysed and evaluated the participants’ reserach to practice projects and identified the two best reports.
The 12-KMK.00-00.000 calibration system allows to calibrate pipelines with the diameters of 325 mm (12 "), 355.6 mm (14" API) and 377 mm (14" GOST). The device helps determine flow area in pipelines of 0.6 – 0.85 Dn.
As part of implementation of a set of measures, 2,284 lamps and 185 lightning fixtures were replaced with LED ones at the Company's facilities. As a result, electricity consumption decreased by 188.35 thousand kWh.
