The diagnostic works were performed as part of the integrated programme of diagnostic examination of pipelines and PS (oil pump stations) facilities of Transneft for 2017.
In-line inspection operations were carried out using in-house inspection tools – geometry tools; ultrasound, magnetic, combined magnetic, and combined magnetic-ultrasound defectoscopes, and ultrasound tools for multiangle inspection of the pipe wall.
The software developed by the enterprise’s specialists allows automating the processes of planning, metering and analysis of the test ground’s equipment with natural and artificial defects, as well as optimizing generation of reporting documents on the performed works.
In anticipation of the New Year, Transneft Diascan employees took part in the volunteer action, as part of the Transneft charity marathon “Helping with Good Works”.
The enterprise presented models of in-line inspection tools - ultrasonic defectoscope, combined magnetic and magnetic ultrasonic defectoscopes.
The representatives of IOPTC visited the main industrial business units of Transneft Diascan.
The accredited analytical laboratory’s (AAL) performance of all the procedures provided for by the quality manual and efficiency of the existing quality system, including the results of the AAL’s participation in interlaboratory comparative tests, were examined during the inspection control.
The future graduates got acquainted with the main activity of Transneft Diascan - in-line inspection - and the enterprise itself, with the help of a presentation movie.
During the visit the technical capabilities of the company in the field of in-line inspection and development of inspection devices were shown to the guests.
The guests were shown inspection devices developed and manufactured by Transneft Diascan: ultrasonic and magnetic defectoscopes as well as a device identifying the pipeline location.
